Uzbekistan Library Accociation:

1. The association represents interests of the Association member in bodies of authority and management in other organizations, including abroad;

2. Provides the members of Association with the information about:

• Activity of library associations and leading libraries of Uzbekistan and foreign countries;
• New achievements in the field of library business and information technologies;
• The laws and normative documents on library business developed and is being developed in Uzbekistan and abroad;
• The new editions, electronic catalogues, databases;

3. To include the information about the members of Association in the Web site of Uzbekistan Library Association;

4. To inform the members of Association about international and local conferences, seminars, working tables, and also about competitions of the projects on library business;
5. To attract the members of Association for participation in the projects of Uzbekistan Library Association;

6. To inform the members of Association about the courses on librarians training on library business and information technologies;

7. To render consulting and other help:

• In development of the projects for presenting them on competition of republican and foreign funds;
• In preparation and retraining of the library staff;
• In creation of library associations;
• In realization of presentations of electronic libraries, information-resource centers, Internet -cafe with libraries.
